FamilySearch - Parish Registers
Visit one of these series:
Quebec catholic
Quebec non-catholic
Ontario catholic
Select a parish, in the case of Ontario select first the county and then the parish.
Select the annual series - sometimes it is hard to find.
Select the page for the researched person and copy/paste the link in the address bar.

Sometimes you will not be able to find years after 1800. In this case, follow the instructions below. We will take as a sample the parish Pointe-aus-Père which does only exist for the years 1882-1884.
- Go to www.familysearch.org
- On the top right from the menu, click "Search" and then "Catalog" - you will land on this page

- Under "PLACE" enter the parish name, example "Pointe-au-Père". Maybe you have to pick the parish from the listbox appearing while typing. Click "Update"
- On the right will appear:
Canada, Quebec, Rimouski-Neigette, Rimouski, Pointe-au-Père - Church records ( 4 )
Canada, Quebec, Rimouski-Neigette, Rimouski, Pointe-au-Père - Civil registration ( 2 )
Select one of them and then the researched year
- Below you will have a list of microfilms. Don't worry about the location Granite Mountain - this is the Mormons vault in Utah. Click the camera icon on the right
- Here you are in the microfilm. Sometimes you have an index at the beginning. Otherwise search within the film, you may encounter several parishes.

Search in Ontario by replacing Quebec for Ontario and the city, e.g. Ottawa or Curran.
Replace the province by "New Brunswick" or "Nouveau Brunswick". In French you will get the Catholic parishes in English the Protestant parishes.
