Hi Alain,
I'll take it off as a link. I'll leave the info for reference. Nothing is certain about this man. He was born between 1749 and 1759, possibly in Grötzingen or I've seen Groeningen as well in Germany. Locating actual records for him is difficult. He's gone by so many aliases. No ancestors, parents, or any other history on him other than his military information and his marriage, and his children. I can pass that along. His wife was Marie Luce Miville Deschene, born in 1749 died in 1837.

It's her ID in Ancestry on my tree. If you aren't able to get in, I'll copy and paste the info.
It's so hard because I have more information about who he isn't than who he really is. I do know his wife was buried with her first husband, Sebastien Soulard, in 1837, where he still appears to be living east of Quebec, in the Kamouraska region.
Thank you for your time and interest!
