Biography Lucas Marie-Sophia

Marie S. McKinney was born July 2, 1912, in Victoria, BC, Canada to Peter and Margaret Lucas. Marie departed this life on January 28, 2011, in Oklahoma City OK. At her 95th birthday, all five generations of her family gathered for a birthday party.

She was a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile. She worked most of her life and in later years she was a china painting instructor and created many works of art including porcelain dolls. She took great pride in making dresses for her beautiful dolls. She was a member of the Episcopal Church in Mesa AZ. Marie moved to Oklahoma City in 2006. She joined the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Oklahoma City.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John B. McKinney and her parents.

Marie is survived by her daughters Dorothy Coleman of Yukon OK and Marcia Chittick of Tacoma WA; sister Bernie Rausch of Salisbury MD; niece, Janet Rausch Stahl of Onancock VA; grandchildren Jerry and wife Terri, Barry and wife Lisa, and Randall Coleman, all of Oklahoma City, Greg Chittick of Tacoma WA, and Vicki Chittick-Semmens of DuPont WA; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
