Biography Dionne Yvette

LEWISTON - Yzette M. P. Vachon, 93, of Lewiston, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Montello Manor, where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Born in Lewiston on December 19, 1923, she was the daughter of Rosario J. and Jeannette Martin Dionne.

She was educated in local schools.

She married Wilfred Vachon on November 27, 1969. Mr. Vachon passed away on August 3, 1990.

She worked for many years in the dental practice of Dr. Marcotte, and then as a nurse's aide at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

Following her retirement, she volunteered at both St. Mary's and Central Maine Medical Center.

She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish.

She enjoyed gardening and working on hooked rugs.

Survivors include a brother, Gillis Dionne of Lewiston.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, the Rev. Martin Dionne O.P. and Rosario Dionne, Jr; two sisters, Jeannine Dionne and Sr. Roselle Dionne CSJ; and a sister-in-law, Yvette Dionne.

FUNERAL NOTICE
VACHON - Yzette, 93, of Lewiston, died in Lewiston on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, from 11am-12:30pm, followed by a funeral Mass in the Lower Church of Sts. Peter & Paul Basilica at 1pm. Interment, St. Peter's Cemetery.
