Hi,
I saw an Artheme Morin on this site at this link:
https://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/GenealogieQuebec.aspx?genealogie=Morin_Artheme&pid=560118
I then take it you were asking for more specific dob or date of death, and more precise info on the wife specified at this link? Unless it would be a different person?
Among the names you gave, which is the name of a child of theirs that would be linked to you? That is what the volunteers need here, wiht what yu would be looking for exactly about the next generation too, to help you out.
I also saw that at times the names are Miron, then Morin. Do you mean both or is this inverted letters?
From your comments I *think* you mean that on the women's side or the mnn's side, unclear here to me, you think there is some first nation blood and suspect that it was hidden for some rights and property to be taken away from you -and or for protection.
The site here as Renee said is kept by volunteers -and by people like me trying to complete their very own family tree. I am not a vlunteer here, just someone trying to complete her family tree and find out more about her own origins.
Some blood lines (many in fact) are listed on the site for the info that was avalable to volunteers for the first century or 2, and then it stops --unless someone like you comes along and tries to find out the rest by names they know of and the info they have on dob, location of birth, or place fo death, name of wife or husband, where they lived, etc.
From there, stating the info you have on a given person or couple in a post on this forum, and asking questions for help by the volunteers when you can not find the info you seek on your own, is the way it works: everyone adds their own ancestors as they go.
As for first nation or metis status, finding the names and where they lived and how many generations ago is quite important. Therefore starting with a name or couple's name and specific questions on this forum about the info you seek, as Renee _*she* is a volunteer** stated, is the way to start.
I am just someone like you trying to make her own tree here, and therefore can not be of muc hhelp to you at all.
But people here are very helpful, are volunteers, and are very generous of their time and research.
Hope the link abovehelped you OR helped the volunteers to start somewhere, IF you confirm this would be the right person and his wife to start with....
In my case, I found ewasier to start "bottom- up", that is, starting wiht my grandparents, tehn on their birth certificat, having their parents names confirmed, then wiht the name of their parents, having those names and their dob and place of birth, and so on, then linking my own lineage to the older one already on the website.
Hope this helps you in some way....Takes a while to get the hang of things and I am still working on it myself....But taking it one generation at a time, ne step at a time, is the way to go, and n fat it goes rather fast and can keep ypu quite busy:)
Good luck, and know that with specvific questions for oen generation a a time, volunteers will generoulsy help with research and birth certificate links to registers or whatever other info they can find for you.
Then YOU must key the info in.
HTH and good luck!:)
