adolphe miron and his wife matilde   from where????

they lived where  ??? have you a marriage date and location??

impossible to help without the basic  info

if you want a reply you must place  question in a logical way

name of couple     .... wanted  marriage and parents

son/daughter married so and so place and date for a start

if you  think there are entries already on this site

the person only puts one they have   often only a few children

you can contact  the author  him/her via the little envelope

do your additions /questions/corrections

and forthe metis card ( a totally useles document)  you can pay to have the  search done  and verified

after you  fill in the application  at a cost  of $25. to start

I don't do that type of search   sorry

well, if you don't put it on who will??

this site is   made up  contributions from members

I don't see Adolphe Miron and his wife ... Mathilde

and Arthene Morin

is it Anthime??

and Mizail Dufort  where  did he live? who did he marry???I not understand

adding the metis card in your request  on top of that.....

Salut Renee

Im pretty sure my family is a large and prominent one in Canada. Almost all the woman on my mothers side are listed here.

KInda strange all the men are not listed... Its not this sites problem its more of an internal problem...

I dont have much info i'll type what I can. Im sorry I'm very new to this.

I'll start with Mizeal Dufort born 6/ 25 1848 or 1852 husband of Marie luise Beaugrand dit champagne prbly from quebec.

He is of great interest to me becuase his name is spanish for micheal.

Atheme Morin born 1865 probly in sasketwewan or quebec husband to Ezilda Fortin ( possibly AZILDA ) like in sudbury ont

Any help on the Miron side would be great too. Starting with Napoleon Miron his wife Emiliene Trotier his son Adolphe Miron and his wife Mathilde (Le harb) also form manitoba and sasketwewan and with ancestors in quebec.

Allot of my familly is from Normandie, Dieppe and have roots in St Ignance

Thanks kindly for your replies, I hope this info helps.

DUFORT

Louis Tadde Michel Dufort born 25-6-1845

son of

Basile Thade Dufort and Maceline Perreault

you Mizael is Michel misspelled in my opinion

on of their son m.in1867 St Marc co Vercheres

the alias for Dufort is Bougret

so it makes for a lot of searches

Perreault/Pereault/Pereault /Perrot etc...

Christiane

Hi,

I saw an Artheme Morin on this site at this link:

https://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/GenealogieQuebec.aspx?genealogie=Morin_Artheme&pid=560118

I then take it you were asking for more specific dob or date of death, and more precise info on the wife specified at this link? Unless it would be a different person?

Among the names you gave, which is the name of a child of theirs that would be linked to you? That is what the volunteers need here, wiht what yu would be looking for exactly about the next generation too, to help you out.

I also saw that at times the names are Miron, then Morin. Do you mean both or is this inverted letters?

From your comments I *think* you mean that on the women's side or the mnn's side, unclear here to me, you think there is some first nation blood and suspect that it was hidden for some rights and property to be  taken away from you -and or for protection.

The site here as Renee said is kept by volunteers -and by people like me trying to complete their very own family tree. I am not a vlunteer here, just someone trying to complete her family tree and find out more about her own origins.

Some blood lines (many in fact) are listed  on the site for the info that was avalable to volunteers for the first century or 2, and then it stops --unless someone like you comes along and tries to find out the rest by names they know of and the info they have on dob, location of birth, or place fo death, name of wife or husband, where they lived, etc.

From there, stating the info you have on a given person or couple in a post on this forum, and asking questions for help by the volunteers when you can not find the info you seek on your own, is the way it works: everyone adds their own ancestors as they go.

As for first nation or metis status, finding the names and where they lived and how many generations ago is quite important. Therefore starting with a name or couple's name and  specific questions on this forum about the info you seek, as Renee  _*she* is a volunteer** stated, is the way to start.

I am just someone like you trying to make her own tree here, and therefore can not be of muc hhelp to you at all.

But people here are very helpful, are volunteers, and are very generous of their time and research.

Hope the link abovehelped you OR helped the volunteers to start somewhere, IF you confirm this would be the right person and his wife to start with....

In my case, I found ewasier to start "bottom- up", that is, starting wiht my grandparents, tehn on their birth certificat, having their parents names confirmed, then wiht the name of their parents, having those names and their dob and place of birth, and so on, then linking my own lineage to the older one already on the website.

Hope this helps you in some way....Takes a while to get the hang of things and I am still working on it myself....But taking it one generation at a time, ne step at a time, is the way to go, and n fat it goes rather fast and can keep ypu quite busy:)

Good luck, and know that with specvific questions for oen generation a a time, volunteers will generoulsy help with research and birth certificate links to registers or whatever other info they can find for you.

Then YOU must key the info in.

HTH and good luck!:)

Thank you Christiane  you are a gem  !!

often I don't follow up on my     found items

sorry

you are right Artheme did marry Fortin       and not Morin......

I  just checked the St Cyrille index book of marriages

Ezilda FORTIN

married Artheme Morin ( JeanBaptiste & Delvina Caron

 14-9-1885 St Cyrille co L'istet

For Miron and Morin,    they are definetely 2 seperate families

as you specify ,  verifiying on" familysearch" in  the  original register is a must

I do not do that  , sorry ,  I just resolve the question

and move on to the next search

at 84    I just keep on going

I appreciate your lovely comment  you made my day

last week  received a TY note from someone I had helped back in 2014

GOOD DAY TO YOU ALL

The search continues, and as the days pass my tree is getting full. I have found one possible link to a fille de roi so I'm getting exited. Her name was Marie Anne Couture she is on the Morin side. But I'm still missing allot of info on the men in my familly. Thanks again renee for all the leads and tips. I have yet to search military records. I will have to look into that. Some of my familly was in America for a short time before beiing granted land here in Canada. But most of my french Canadian familly ( which I am 6/8th ) stem from quebec and then from France. All sides seem to trace back very easily save for the men in my tree. It's been a bit frustrating. I still need a bit of help on the MIRON side yes this is not MORIN. My great Grandfather NAPOLEON MIRON his father ADOLPHE and wife MATILDE ( de MARBE or Le HARB ) is still a mystery to me. I have holes in my tree but have allot completed. Any help is greatly apreciated. I need to go through what I have a seacrh for more Fils de roi... Many of the woman in my familly were very important and had many children. If Im correct about couture I'm very pleased with my ressearch. Thanks again for all those that help me allong this journey the info my familly has given me is very limited and for one side completly incorect. I'm gald to find ressources that can help lead me in the right direction.

Merci beaucoup, THANK YOU.

warning  les filles du roi have nothing to do with royalty   everybody has one at least                                                               they were single girls sponsored by the king to marry the soldiers and pionneers   to  populate and that they did                   the land grants were dished out at one time in histoiry if you had 10 children you qualified for a grant but then the 10 grew  up and had noting  in turn   most were never farmers so there  you are

glad  you are enjoying  your adventure in  history  you have much to learn I know   for me it is all old  stuff   been there done that  50 yrs ago  almost , still looking into your adolphe he  was in Winconsin but I doubt if he crossed the border ligally  like most who went into the bush in new England     I found a jos Adolphe ( they were all Joseph )  following that lead  right now   thanks for the note

I think I got the Miron

sorted out to a point

 via census etc 1871     1906        1916

I found some 2000+ more Joseph none married a Lemieux

Napoleon was born in Wisconsin  23 june 1883

Adolphe born 20 nov 1860 Napierville Quebec      as per census   1906

son of

Joseph & Marie Anne Smard m 9-8-1858  St Eddouard co Napierville

that was a 2nd marriage

he was first married to

Marie Lemieux date place unknown so far most like in the USA

she died  16 july 1855 sherrington co Napierville ......... if I read my note here age 28

so Adolphe was a widower in Manitoba   as per census   under Mero

his spouse from what I can make ot was Matilde DEMARK

US1900 census Adolph Mero  age 31 widowed

living Egg Harbor Door County WI

list his  parents as from Canada /France   (????)

Canada census 1860  Jospeh A  age  1 Napierville Quebec
