Beaulieu, Jeanne Published: Tuesday, July 5, 2011 The family announces with sorrow the passing of our mother, Jeanne Beaulieu at her residence at Pioneer Ridge, on Sunday July 3, 2011 at the age of 84 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Roland (deceased 2006) and dearest mother of Michel (Andree) of Geraldton, Louis (Linda), Raymond (Francine), Solange Dubois (Robert) all of Thunder Bay. She will be lovingly remembered by her nine grandchildren: Lynn (Marc Forget), Nicole, Jason (Jackie), Darcy, Real (Lucia), Chantal, Natalie, Jean Anne and Elizabeth (Paul Kukiel) as well as her great grandchildren: Pascal, Janell, Jacob and Abigail. Mom is survived by sisters: Marguerite, Helene and Irene, and brothers: Paul, Jean and Antoine all residing in Quebec. Mom was predeceased by her parents Francis & Rose Beaulieu, her sister Rita Raby and brothers Gaston and George. Mom was born September 10, 1926 in Ste. Anastasie-Lyster, Quebec. She married Roland Beaulieu in 1945. Following Dad’s employment with the Longlac Pulp and Paper Company she subsequently moved to Geraldton in 1950 with her 2 young boys. Mom and Dad remained in Geraldton where they had 2 more children and then relocated to Thunder Bay in 1986. Mom was a quiet and private person who enjoyed the simpler pleasures of life such as creating elaborate family feasts on festive occasions, gardening, reading, knitting, sewing and she thoroughly enjoyed visits from family and friends. Mom worked at a variety of venues in Geraldton and was known in circles for her delicious pies. Despite serious health concerns, Mom always maintained a positive outlook; she looked forward to each day and news of family activities. It is without a doubt that she will be sadly missed by all those who fondly knew her. Special thanks to Aunt Fernande for her visits and support and to the exceptional team of caregivers at Plaza II - Pioneer Ridge, in particular Tricia, Sue, Leah, Elena and Maureen. The funeral service for Mom will be held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 88 Clayte Street in Thunder Bay on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 am with reception to follow. Interment of ashes will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Margaret’s Church would be greatly appreciated.
