WWII interpreter, spoke Polish, Russian, French, Italian. Was gassed in WWI in trenches. Went to Detroit, MI for a while then settled in Windsor, ON where he was known as a fine tailor, also tarp and tent work. During WWII he acted as a messenger for Earl of Athlone (son of King George VI and formerly known as prince Alexander of Teck) to carry `billets doux`(love notes) to princess Alice. Earl of Athlone ( became Governor General of Canada 1940-1946
