Arthur E. Arpin, 89, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003, at Hays Good Samaritan Center. He was born April 24, 1914, in Damar to Xavier and Rosa (Newell) Arpin. He graduated from Damar High School. He married Elsie Helen Marcotte on Sept. 20, 1938, at Zurich; she died Jan. 6, 1997. He was postmaster at Damar prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Damar, and Bishop Cunningham Assembly 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Hays.
