Amand lived at Kamouraska, Québec, from 1760 to 1776. He and his wife Anne, lived along the St.John River NB, until about 1784. They then moved to Memramcook, where Amand's father had been living since before the Acadian Expulsion. Amand remained there until 1810, when he moved to Cap-Pelé.
