R.E.J. Riel And Bride From Elkhorn Plan Home in St. Boniface
A doublering ceremony was solemnized in the United Church at Elkhorn, Man., when Beatrice Mary, youngest daughter of Fred C Norris and the late Mrs Norris, and Roland Edward Joseph Riel, elder son of Mr and Mrs J Riel of St. Boniface were united in marriage. Rev. S. Bater of Fleming, Man., officiated. Mr J. E. Duzbury was at the organ and Mrs J. W. Thompson was solist with the choir was in attendance.
On their return from a motor trip to eastern point, Mr and Mrs Riel will make their home in Youville street, St. Boniface.

Suddenly, on Friday July 8 1988 at Big Whiteshell, Bud Riel, aged  68 years, late of St. Boniface.
Bud worked for Modern Dairies for 33 years and later became International Vice-President of the R.W.D.S.U. where he worked for 15 years, retiring at age 64. He was a member of the Belgium Club, Royal Canadian Legion (Norwood Branch), and the Club LaVerendrye.
Left to mourn his passing are a son, Art, and wife Debby; a daughter Carol and husband Glen Buchholz; his sister Irene St. Onge and husband Gerry of Winnipeg; nieces, nephews and friends. Bud was predeceaed by his sister Agnes; a brother, Paul, and his mother and father.
Funeral service Tuesday, July 12 in the Desjardins Funeral Chapel with Pastor Gregory Heidorn officiating. Interment in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
