KELLNER, Anne (Allard)

Anne (Allard) Kellner, 91, of Rockport, TX, beloved and loving wife of the late Erwin W. Kellner, died on Saturday (April 11, 2009). Born on June 30, 1917, in Stafford Springs, she was the 9th of 11 children of the late Edward and Leodina Allard. She took great delight in the successful tailoring business she founded at the end of the Great Depression in Hartford and continued to design and make beautiful clothes for her children and herself. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her good cheer, many kindnesses and perpetual optimism touched many and will always be treasured. She is survived by her three daughters, her son and their spouses, Jacqueline and William Gozdz of Middletown, RI, Marian Kellner and Timothy McLaughlin of Farmington, Mark and Catherine Kellner of Portsmouth, RI, Elizabeth and Gary Young of Aransas Pass, TX; her sister and dearest friend, Lena Simmons of Manchester; her brother-in-law and his wife, Wayne and Ann Kellner of Jefferson, NH; her eight grandchildren, Janet Goulart of Saunderstown, RI, Cynthia Russell of North Reading, MA, Caitlin McLaughlin of New York, NY, Kevin McLaughlin of Washington, DC, Nicole Villa of Portland, TX and Alexander Young, Marguerite Young and Adrian Young, all of Aransas Pass, TX; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church. Burial will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery, Rockville.
