Jean Francois Gégoux and Josephte Leduc family in St-Louis-de Gonzague-de-Beauharnois

St-Clément of Beauharnois first Church (1818-1845)

This is the church where Jean-François and Josephte Leduc were married the first of november 1833

Also where the following children were baptised

Justine, François-Xavier, Honoré, Christine, Mathilda and Adèle

Justine is also buried in the Church cemetery

St-Clement of Beauhanois second Church buit in 1845 and also the base for  the actual church in 2008

In this paiting we also see the first chuch on the left that became the first formal school in Beauharnois

on the right is the presbitary(priest house) that is still used today in 2008

This is the church where the following children were baptised:

Rose, Théophile, Louis and Abel

Josephte Leduc (1812-1889 was born at Ile-Perrot in lake St-Louis, acoss Beauharnois

This is a reconstruction of the original chapel

using the original plan and original stone that had been buried for a century

This is the church that replaced the chapel in 1778 and where Josephet Leduc was baptised

Josephete remarrid in 1868 to Léon Bergeron and she died at the Sherbrooke Hospital
