Roch H. St. Pierre, 73, of Bridge Road in Crown Point, died Friday, Feb. 2, 2001, at the Moses-Ludington Hospital in Ticonderoga, NY, USA.
He was born Jan. 21, 1928, the son of Wilfrid and Lucille (Theroux) St. Pierre.
He was the owner and operator of Crown Point Acres for 42 years.
He enjoyed his large family, especially their family Christmas parties. He also enjoyed gardening, woodworking and music. He always said he was a "rich man" because of the love of his family, but we, his family, are the rich ones.
He is survived by the following: his wife, Sylvie St. Pierre; his children and spouses, Mitch and Gail St. Pierre, Joanne and Andrus Gadway, Marie Pendell, Lucia and Gary Bobbie, Norbert St. Pierre, Helene Carr, Jeannette and Mark Peters, Louise and Mike Hynds, Celine Niro, Lisa and Matthew Apgar, John Niro, Florence and Stanky Sears, Mario St. Pierre, Luc and Beth Niro, Sylvie Niro and Eugene and Traci St. Pierre; 33 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Germaine St. Pierre, Gerard St. Pierre, Francis Goforth, Fernand St. Pierre, Clemence Rocco, Joseph St. Pierre, Monique St. Pierre and Maurice St. Pierre.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Colette St. Pierre; his sisters, Madeleine Rodrigue and Gilberte Ferland; and his brothers, Paul St. Pierre and Leo St. Pierre.
Calling hours will be Sunday, Feb. 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday, Jan. 5, at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Crown Point. A spring burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crown Point.
