[His father] supposedly left for west in 1785 and never returned. At least two sons, Antoine and Joseph, supposedly went with him. Antoine got married in St. Louis, Missouri in 1806. Joseph returned to Quebec in Baie du Febvre with an 11 year old metis daughter who was baptized there, and married there the same year
