After Joseph's wife died in 1979, Joseph joined The Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance (The Trappists), and remained there until his death.
Was originally buried at Our Lady Of The Prairies, Trappist Monastery, Holland, MB but the monastery was sold and the cemetery was repatriated 2020/2021 to the cemetery of the parish of St. Norbert.
